Our Program

How to Apply

Our program accepts applications through ERAS September 2-December 1. We will interview approximately ten candidates for each available position (n=12) for a total of 120 interviews. Only complete applications will be considered for interview selection. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis as determined by the Program Director; no communication is necessary to request an exception.

A complete application must have:

  • ERAS application / Curriculum Vitae
  • Personal statement
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • USMLE or COMLEX transcript
  • Medical School transcript
  • ECFMG transcript (for international medical students/graduates only)
  • Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE), also called a “Dean’s Letter”

Our program provides J1 visa sponsorship only at this time.

Crestwood Internal Medicine Residency Program is planning in-person interviews at this time. For those unable to travel, we will provide virtual interviewing options. Those selected to interview will be contacted by email no later than December 15. If invited to interview, our Program Coordinator will provide a link to ThalamusGME wherein you can self-schedule your interview day with us. Should you need to reschedule, please feel free to do so up to a week prior to your scheduled date. To be respectful of everyone’s time, we cannot reschedule interviews that are less than one week in advance.

Selection Criteria

Crestwood Medical Center’s Internal Medicine Residency Program selects residents on the basis of their preparedness, ability, aptitude, academic credentials, communication skills and personal qualities such as character, motivation and integrity. Our Internal Medicine Residency Program does not discriminate with regard to sex, race, age, color, national origin, disability, veteran status, or religious affiliation.

As this is our first year, we are concentrating our selection and interviewing criteria to recruit and match residents who enjoy leadership positions and the opportunity to work with hospital and program leadership to build an inclusive clinical and educational work environment that becomes our collective legacy for resident and faculty physicians to appreciate for years to come.

Match Process

Crestwood Medical Center’s Internal Medicine Residency Program participates in the NRMP Match. Our NRMP Code is 2345140C0. As such, it abides by the NRMP Codes of Conducts and Policies/Procedures. Should you have a question following interview, please feel free to reach out. We are happy to answer questions, but will refrain from any form of post-interview communication that could be construed as illegal signaling.

Onboarding & Orientation

Matched applicants will receive an email to the address listed in the ERAS application. This email will include important information regarding onboarding and orientation. Onboarding will occur in New Innovations using a checklist with each step given a deadline. Please adhere to the deadlines to assure your training starts on July 1.

Crestwood Medical Center hosts a one-week orientation the last week of June. Specific dates and details will be provided following Match Day. During orientation, you will receive all the tools to successfully begin your first year of residency at our program.
